Designing merch is a celebration of the profound connection between music and fashion, showcasing an exclusive selection of merchandise inspired by my favorite musicians and bands that I had the opportunity to work with. Exploring this dynamic fusion of fashion and music, I use the artist’s style as a testament to creative direction.

Afropunk is not just a music festival and a brand I wanted to work with since I moved to Brooklyn in the early 2000s; it's a cultural movement, a celebration of individuality, and a space where creativity knows no bounds. It was born in Brooklyn, NY, but has since evolved into a global event where every year, thousands of people from all walks of life gather to revel in the unique fusion of music, fashion, art, and activism that is Afropunk. In 2023, this iconic festival promised to be even more electrifying, with a lineup that transcended genres and a commitment to showcasing the vibrant and diverse voices of the African diaspora.
For all three festivals, I was brought on to assist with the Art Direction and design execution of digital marketing and social assets. I created the typography and logo lock-ups while adhering to the brand’s guidelines. I also kept them current with the trends by integrating AI into the “Brooklyn Circus of Soul” aesthetic.
In today's music industry, aspiring artists are not limited by the constraints of traditional record labels. UnitedMasters has emerged as a revolutionary force, offering independent musicians a powerful platform to take control of their careers and reach global audiences. UnitedMasters empowers artists to navigate the complex music landscape, connect with fans, and monetize their creativity in unprecedented ways.
I was hired to design digital marketing assets for campaign rollouts, playlist covers, email campaigns, website pages, and other social assets. I also worked on print and artist merch to help artists increase their fanbase while increasing their revenue.
